NOUW – for the planet and the people

We cultivate high ethical standards and a respectful, personal relationship with our collaborators. We constantly try to minimize our ecological footprint by keeping transportation routes short and guarantee fair working conditions by supporting small European factories. Some of our factories are certified by the Fair Wear Foundation. FWF standards include among others the free choice of employment, the payment of a living wage, safe and healthy work conditions as well as freedom of association and of course the ban of child labour.

For us sustainability means also a long-life cycle of the products, ideally over generations – buy less, choose well!

We source our materials mainly from Italy and Switzerland. All wool that we use is mulesing-free and our materials are certified by Bluesign and Oeko-tex Standard 100.

NOUW jackets are naturally water repellent and we don’t use any pfc chemicals.
